All about HEIDI was founded by two friends Manuka and Jette who set out to develop a stylish baby shoe that was comfortable, didn’t have any bulky seams for kids to walk on and that wouldn’t slip of Jette’s daughter’s narrow feet, like most the existing pre-walker shoes available did.

After many trials and experiments, ‘HEIDI walks’ was created based on an ancient celtic way of shoemaking.

The shoe is made from one single piece of leather and wraps around the foot in a flower petal like design that is adjustable to create the perfect width for every little foot. They are designed for growing feet and give kids the ability to flex their feet naturally and to develop their muscles in their feet.

And after being bombarded with requests from all the mum’s that they want a pair of the shoes for themselves, we thought why not try and make an elegant women’s version with the same concept…and so many trials later our ‘Heidis swirl’ and ‘Heidis swirl peep toe’ sandals were born, made from super soft leather, with a very flexible sole and also width adjustable at the front.

We’ve recently also added our ‘Criss cross’ sandals and our new ‘Pouch bag’ to the range and there will be more…so keep an eye out for new products!

Sadly Jette had to leave the company a while ago because of medical reasons and has since lost her long battle with cancer…she is always in our hearts and her creative spirit lives on in ‘All about Heidi’.
